I wrote about the great balancing act of being a working mother and an artist yesterday over at Soft Flex Company's blog. Click here to read my guest blog post.

Having that balance is tough for some people but I find it easy because I teach my kids what I know in hopes they will develop a love and appreciation for it and possibly even a need.

It is hard to balance everything but if you love what you do - that makes it easier. :)

You're right Mira, when you love something you make time for it, whether "it" is your children or your art. Somehow you fit it in. B, I agree with you - creating with you kids is a great way to pass down the love and appreciation and I hope a "need" for it too! Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!

Since my son is grown the balancing act has changed but it is still difficult to make sure to fit it all in. I love this picture of you and your son working together. It looks like you have defintely found a way to have it all (at least for the moment).

You are absolutely right Ginny, I have it all right now - but that changes all the time. Lots of regrouping and rethinking how to make it all work.
