Artist Statement

I create joyful, colorful and whimsical art. I draw nature because I feel loved and nurtured when immersed in the natural world. I play with abstraction because I am attracted to texture and movement. Artful expression fills me with peace, delight and freedom.

I find inspiration everywhere; everything I see, feel and experience can ignite creativity. I am most inspired by the sights and sounds of nature and am influenced by my feelings in the moment of creation.

When my work is going well it feels effortless - a direct flow of energy from my heart and soul outward. Time washes away, I find my truth, my peace and I am free. When I am connected - to my creative source, to the world around me and to others - I feel alive. I create the things that make my heart sing. My hope is that people connect with my work and it brings them joy.

My tools and process vary project to project. I create digitally, with beads, with paint and pastels on canvas, wood and paper. Exploring creativity through design, art and handmade creations has brought much joy and purpose into my life and I am grateful to all who stop by and join me on my journey.
