Art Party at Orange Table on November 7th

I'm the artist of the month at Orange Table during November! Come out and celebrate with me at Orange Table on November 7th from 4pm-7pm for my first day and say farewell to the previous featured artist, Charles Love Sanders.  

Please join us for the celebration with good food, drink, and great art! The food and service are excellent and their full menu will be available. Hope you can stop in for an afternoon coffee, drink or stay for dinner. It's family friendly and free event. 

Orange Table is a low key cafe/coffeehouse with a nice patio located inside the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. There are large grass areas, water features and the LOVE sculpture around the cafe that makes for a nice walk. It's also a few doors down from the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) which is free admission on Thursdays and open until 9pm. It's a nice museum and one I've taken my kids too lots of times.

Parking can be found in the parking garage at 2nd Street just east of Drinkwater Blvd. and walk east from this garage into the mall area to find Orange Table). Or you may park at the library on the East side of N. Drinkwater Blvd. and walk West into the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall.

Pita Jungle Art Exhibit, 2nd Stop Gilbert!

I installed my artwork at Pita Jungle's Gilbert Location earlier this month! My art will be showcased at the Gilbert location through the end of October.

A major perk of traveling around is that I can visit my artwork at many wonderful Pita Jungle locations with friends and enjoy great company and yummy food!

Pita Jungle Art Exhibit, 1st Stop Arrowhead!

Have you ever noticed that each Pita Jungle location has different art on the walls? They love supporting local artists so, next time you’re at any of their locations make sure to keep your eye out for the current showcase.

I was first introduced to Pita Jungle over a decade ago. Whenever I was there, I noticed art on the walls and loved that they supported local artists as well as dished out deliciously healthy meals. One day I hoped to show my art in a community restaurant just like that. It's taken me awhile to get there but, I made it! It brings me such joy and satisfaction that my "some days" are being realized bit by bit. 

I installed my artwork at Pita Jungle's Arrowhead Location in Glendale, Arizona on Friday! My art will be showcased at their Arrowhead location for 30 days and then I will be moving to another Pita Jungle location. I'll keep you posted on what city I'm headed to next.

Knitted Sea Glass & Pearl Bangle

I am lover of texture so, knitted jewelry designs float my boat. After returning from a family vacation that included a day at the beach, I was inspired to combine Fluorite Soft Flex Beading Wire with glass pearls and sea glass for a design fit for a beach goddess. 

I shared a picture of this design online and had three people asking to purchase it and within a few hours it was sold! I couldn't beleive it. The combination of soft colors and knitting technique made it a desirable design. It's so comfortable to wear too. I hope you are enjoying the last days of summer. My kids go back to school next week already, I can't beleive how fast that went!

Terra Java Coffee & Bake Shop Art Exhibit

 During June and July, patrons of the Terra Java Coffee House and Bake Shop in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix will be immersed in my colorful artwork while enjoying delicious coffee from local beans, traditional Italian roasted espresso, brewed local teas plus, their baker creates baked goods that include wheat free, allergy free, low glycemic, and vegan items. If you enjoy spicy chai latte they have an kickin' one that's sure to please! But best of all, they focus on quality by using local, organic, earth friendly, fair trade and slave free ingredients whenever possible.

Terra Java also supports the community by carrying a sampling of jewelry, art prints, crochet items, jams and the like from local artisans. You will find one of a kind earrings and necklaces, painted stones, art blocks and art prints by me for sale at shop too.

Lastly, Terra Java has a great little lounge area with a free library to relax and read the day away. A small collection of books that are available to read here or borrow for short periods of time. There is an on going a book sale for charity in the shop. The proceeds support, Kitchen on the Street, http://www.kitchenonthestreet.org/. You may make a donation for the book that strikes your fancy or bring in a book you would like to donate and/or just make a donation.  It's a great neighborhood community coffee house and I am honored to be featured there. Art, Food and Shopping this Thursday

Visit Orange Table this Thursday for Art, Food, and a little Shopping ... We'll be saying goodbye to my artwork and welcome in the new featured local artist, Kathy Welsh.

Orange Table will have light appetizers and a full menu available so for those that always want to eat at our restaurant but can’t seem to make it before we close, here is your chance to not only enjoy our food but also have great artwork to see and purchase, along with a little mingling and socializing with our guests and staff.

This event is open to the public so if you are into art, please come celebrate our two very awesome locals, who love and live for the art culture.

Both Kathy and I also sell jewelry and other crafts and will have a small offering available to shop from.
